Fascinating!

http://wordwatchers.wordpress.com/2008/10/15/debate-3-mccain-and-obama-word-usage/

I love that someone is tracking and analyzing the language used by the two candidates during the three debates. The key takeaways?

  1. Obama talks more and uses bigger words and longer sentences
  2. McCain is more personal in his prose
  3. McCain is more categorical in his thinking; Obama is more contextual/fluid
  4. Obama is more present oriented; McCain more future oriented
  5. McCain is more emotional; Obama more causal reasoning

Don't you find this fascinating? To me, it really means that we are dealing with two different candidates with two different (and competing) styles. I'm not sure it offers insight into who will make a better President, but it is FASCINATING.
